The 2007 Native American Health Symposium: Improving Native American
Health: Fostering Collaboration Across Disciplines
Wednesday, November 7, 4 p.m.
Thursday, November 8, 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
New Research Building, Joseph B. Martin Conference Center
The goal of the symposium is to bring together leaders in Native health care,
including practicing clinicians, clinical leaders, and those involved in academic
research, to discuss opportunities for collaborative efforts to improve health
care among American Indian communities. Panel topics include providing care
in urban and rural settings; chronic disease management (diabetes, renal, kidney,
and heart disease); mental health and substance abuse; practice realities in
Indian country; and research in Native health care. Registration required.
