for Genetics and Genomics, the Genetics in Medicine Lecture Series at the Countway
Library of Medicine presents D. T. Max, essayist and journalist, who will talk
about his recent book The Family That Couldn't Sleep: A Medical Mystery,
voted one of the five best non-fiction books of 2006 on Salon.com. Max tells
the story of prions, ordinary proteins that sometimes go wrong. The lecture
is followed by a book signing and reception in the Lahey Room. For more information
