Integrated Technology Predicts Functional Systems in Cell
Combining studies in protein interaction, gene expression, and RNA interference, a team of researchers including Marc Vidal has developed a broad model of “molecular machines” operating in C. elegans during the first moments of life. The model networks revealed previously unknown protein associations.

Caregivers and supplies from HMS-affiliated hospitals have been aiding the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Above is the emergency department tent for Gulf Coast Memorial Hospital in Biloxi, Miss., where a contingent from Children’s provided care.


Harvard Matches Gifts for Hurricane Relief
Through Oct. 15, the University will match gifts up to $100 from members of the Harvard community to selected charities helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
