Smart Cancer Drug Passes Test Against Multiple Myeloma
A recent study demonstrates that a new kind of cancer drug is twice as good as a conventional medication at treating an incurable blood cancer. The findings confirm the tangible benefits that can come from a molecular understanding of how drugs work. To the team headed by Kenneth Anderson that conducted much of the preclinical and clinical testing, the results also are the vanguard of many other novel agents being explored in the lab and clinic.
