Mouse Model Devised that Develops Asthma

Mice engineered by Susanne Szabo (left), Laurie Glimcher, and colleagues to lack a certain growth factor eventually show symptoms of asthma. The findings may offer an improved animal model to speed research on the disease as well as a new molecular target for therapies against asthma and other disorders.
