Focus:
Combo Vector Delivers Blow Against Melanoma

By modifying the bacterium E. coli to produce a protein from another bug, Listeria monocytogenes, Darren Higgins and colleagues have devised a vaccine that protects mice against melanoma. The researchers also are testing the construct against infectious diseases.
