AIDS Symposium
Presenters:
Armenise Building Auditorium This first scientific symposium held by the Harvard Medical School Division of AIDS will highlight the progress and challenges to HIV treatment since initial treatments began 15 years ago. Bruce Walker, director of the division, will speak on prospects for immune control of HIV; Steven Grinspoon on the complications of treatment; Martin Hirsch on the progress of therapy; and Keith Hansen, the World Bank's manager of the AIDS campaign team for Africa, will discuss challenges in resource-poor settings. The mission of the Harvard Medical School Division of AIDS is to expand, promote, and facilitate collaborative activities in AIDS research,education, and care among staff and faculty at Harvard Medical School, Harvard University, and its affiliated institutions in order to help end the AIDS pandemic.
