Introducing Baby to the Right Bacteria

Allan Walker and his colleagues propose that colonization of the intestines of premature infants by the wrong bacteria could contribute to a sometimes deadly inflammatory disorder. Breast milk, they say, may reduce the risk for the disease by encouraging the growth of the right bacteria.
