A team of researchers led by Anindya Dutta has shown that the molecule geminin inhibits DNA replication by targeting a specific replication factor. Their interaction during the cell cycle ensures that the DNA replicates only once.

Students Confront Death in Learning End-of-Life Care
End-of-life care is gaining recognition as a necessary part of medical education, reports Erica Seiguer. Yet about one third of U.S. medical students believe their training in the area could be improved. Seiguer found that the HMS elective on death and dying is broadening perspectives on the care of terminal patients.
