The Fruit Fly Fight Club

Ed Kravitz and colleagues have developed a fruit fly model of aggression, which will help link this behavior to patterns of gene expression. "Aggression is a serious problem in society," he says, "but even after studies of lots of animal models for many years, we don't know a lot about the biological basis of aggression."

Panelists Frame Science and Ethics of Stem Cell Debate
Since Nov. 25, when Advanced Cell Technology announced it had produced a human embryo by cloning, the stem cell debate has stood at the center of the national stage.
