Focus:
Human Anthrax Receptor Discovered

John Collier and colleagues at HMS, Wisconsin, and the Burnham Institute in Calif., have identified the human receptor for anthrax toxin and solved the crystal structure for the destructive toxin subunit, lethal factor. A primary goal is ultimately to improve methods of prevention and therapy to halt anthrax infection.
