Anthrax Immunity Gene Found in Mice
William Dietrich (above), James Watters, and colleagues have discovered a gene in mice that confers resistance to anthrax in two mutant forms. Since a human version of the gene exists, there may be a portion of people with a natural immunity to the disease.
