Focus: The Center for Genomic Applications and Therapeutics (CGAT) is now up and running with the arrival of its director Stephen Lory. The first mission is to use genomic data on the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa to halt its pneumonia-causing attacks on cystic fibrosis patients. The findings may be applicable to other bugs, as well. |
