First Annual Herbert Sherman Lecture:
Presenter:
Kenneth Wells is professor of psychiatry and biobehavioral sciences at UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Institute, where he is principal investigator and director of the UCLA/RAND Center for Research on Managed Care for Psychiatric Disorders, funded by the National Institute of Mental Health. He is a senior scientist at RAND and co-author with other RAND scientists of Caring for Depression. Wells is a recipient of an NIMH Senior Research Scientist Award in mental health research. This lecture, sponsored by the Center for Quality of Care Research and Education, honors the memory of Herbert Sherman, Harvard School of Public Health lecturer on health services administration and HMS principal associate in medicine (engineering), who brought multidisciplinary and creative solutions to the problems of health care delivery. |
